Known as one of Marion County, Indiana's four "excluded cities," Lawrence is home to Fort Benjamin Harrison which is located within Fort Harrison State Park.  With downtown Indianapolis being only minutes away, you will have no trouble finding everything on your wedding checklist.  However, you may not even need to venture into Indianapolis as we have found several resources within the city limits.  

The City of Lawrence Parks & Recreation Department has several facilities available for rental at very reasonable prices including the Sterrett Center and the Community Center.  They also have two outdoor pavilions that are perfect for smaller, outdoor weddings.  

While it may not be the first place you think of to shop for your wedding jewelry, Kohl's has a good variety of wedding jewelry including wedding bands, wedding ring sets and other types of jewelry such as necklaces, earrings and bracelets.  Along with shopping for jewelry, you can also shop for your bridesmaids dresses as they have a good selection of dresses that are perfect for more casual weddings.  

Of course, you can't forget the wedding cake.  The bakery at Marsh can help you choose from the many different wedding cake designs as well as help you out on flavor combinations for your cake and filling.  Using the bakery at a grocery store is a good way to stay on track with your finances if you a planning a budget wedding.
