Farmington is a wealthy city lined with Victorian style homes, a historic downtown shopping area, and plenty of resources to help you find the essentials on your wedding checklist. 

Make sure you stop by Warner Mansion, which features a museum, a Perennial Garden, footbridges, the Stone Wall Garden, a bird house, and other beautiful grounds. You can also enjoy events hosted at Warner Mansion, including Mansion Tea on the Porch and Tea Talk. The mansion is a beautiful location for wedding photographs, ceremonies, and receptions. Keep in mind that its grounds are best viewed in spring, summer, or early fall. 

Mrs. Maddox Cakes is a sophisticated wedding caterer, specializing in "Tea Table Catering" and custom wedding cakes. Her famous tea sandwiches are an elegant choice for bridal showers or afternoon cocktail parties. 

Farmington has five city parks with amenities such as an ice skating rink, baseball fields, tennis courts, walking trails, and picnic pavilions. You can reserve the pavilion in Shiawassee Park through the City Clerk's office.

CNNMoney.com recently recognized Farmington as number 55 in its "Best Places to Live" survey. The community hosts numerous annual festivals that you and your wedding guests can enjoy, including Founders Festival, the Duck Race, and Rhythmz in Riley Park.
