Vandalia is a comfortable, well-educated community that is conveniently located just nine miles north of Dayton and has easy access to James M. Cox Dayton International Airport.

The city has some excellent resources to help you with the wedding planning process, including florists, bakeries, wedding photographers, and caterers.

Fricker's, which has comfort foods such as barbecue ribs and pulled pork, is an affordable caterer for casual rehearsal dinners and engagement parties.

The two picnic shelters at Helke Park on Randler Avenue are available to rent from April 1 to October 31st. The Gazebo at Seger Park, one of Vandalia's popular wedding venues, is also available to rent from April through October.

Finally, Jan's Flower & Gift Shop can enhance your wedding with custom ceremony arrangements, reception centerpieces, and wedding cake decorations made with seasonal wedding flowers.

Vandalia is home to some excellent recreational facilities that you can enjoy during your free time, including Cassel Hills Golf Course, a public golf course with a private banquet room that can accommodate up to 100 guests.

You can also relax in Robinette Park, Victory Park, and Vandalia Sports Complex, or visit one of the nearby attractions in Dayton, such as the Paul Lawrence Dunbar House, the Boonshoft Museum of Discovery, or Aullwood Audubon Center & Farm.
