The city of Mission, which is located near the U.S./Mexico border, is a popular place for ecotourism and bird enthusiasts, and with a warm climate throughout most of year, is a great place for outdoor winter weddings.

One of Mission's most popular wedding venues is Riverside Club, which is situated along the scenic Rio Grande River. It features an outside shaded tropical patio that can accommodate 300 guests, an indoor event center for up to 200 guests, and boat tours of the river.

There are also numerous churches in Mission, including First Assembly of God, Faith Baptist Church, Our Lady of Holy Rosary, First United Methodist, and Trinity Lutheran, so you will have no problem finding a venue for traditional wedding ceremonies.

Mission has several places of interest for you to enjoy during your free time, including the National Butterfly Center, World Birding Center and Bentsen State Park, Rio Theatre, La Lomita Chapel, and Anzalduas International Bridge.

You can also attend Texas Citrus Fiesta and the Parade of Oranges, which both take place in January.
