The city is surrounded by the Rio Grande Valley, which is a popular Texas tourist destination, so if you want to plan a day trip, Donna is in close proximity to area attractions such as Laguna Atascosa National Wildlife Refuge, Port Isabel Lighthouse, and Bentsen-Rio Grande Valley State Park.
