The city of Taylor, which located just 28 miles northeast of Austin, has plenty of resources to help you with the wedding planning process.

Make sure you check out Clark Mansion, one of Taylor's premier wedding venues. The mansion, which is situated on 5.7 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds, is a historic house built in the Russian-Victorian style.

Another unique and historic venue, The Taylor Mansion Estate & Crystal Ballroom, is located on 50 gorgeous acres, and its staff can help you coordinate wedding day extras, like horse-drawn carriage rides and helicopter arrivals and departures.

For wedding cakes, you'll definitely want to try Jane Naivar's Cake Creations, a local favorite with over 30 years of experience creating custom cakes in a variety of styles.

If you're planning on being in Taylor for several days, there are several charming bed & breakfasts you can stay at, including Pecan Manor B&B, which is surrounded by century-old pecan trees.

The city has several parks for you to enjoy during your free time, including Fannie Robinson Park, Liberty Gardens, Bull Branch Park, and Murphy Park, which has a large pavilion you can rent for special occasions.

You can also tour the Dan Moody Museum, visit nearby attractions, like the Cameron Park Zoo or the Texas Memorial Museum of Science and History, or attend one of the city's annual festivals, like Taylor Zest Fest.
