Dublin is a city that is located in Alameda County, California. Dublin borders Hayward to the East, Livermore to the West and San Jose to the North. It is named after Dublin in Ireland and covers an area of about 14.9 square miles.

Dublin traces its roots to 1835 when Jose Maria Amador was given 16,500 acres of land for his service as a Mexican soldier. Dublin was incorporated in 1859 but until the 1960s it was a rural area. Houses that modernized Dublin were first built in 1960 and transformed it to an urban suburb.

The bomb disposal range has been the filming location of over 50 episodes of the Myth Busters. The city is also the headquarters of Arlen Ness, software company Sybase Inc., Medley Health and Tria Beauty among others.
