Piedmont City is a small community with beautiful, but affordable wedding venues. It shares services such as the library and post office with the surrounding city of Oakland, but is home to several parks with wooded paths, picnic facilities, and athletic fields. 

The Piedmont Community Hall is the perfect place to have your wedding. It is surrounded by redwood and cherry trees, and situated in the center of town near Exedra Plaza. The Mediterranean style hall has high wood beam ceilings, hardwood floors, chandeliers, and floor to ceiling windows that offer views of the surrounding park. 

Another affordable venue is the Piedmont Veterans Hall, which hosts the annual Piedmont Jazz Festival. The hall has a stage for wedding entertainment, a first rate sound system, and plenty of room for dancing.

The closest location for you to apply for your marriage license is the Alameda County Clerk-Recorder's Office in Oakland. If you want a family member or friend to perform your wedding ceremony, you can pay a fee for the office to issue a permit for a "One-Time Deputy Marriage Commissioner, Without Compensation". 

Regardless of where you choose to have your wedding, you will not be disappointed by the hospitality that the city of Piedmont offers.
