Plantation City is located in Broward County. It's named after the previous owner of the land, the Everglades Plantation Company.

Plantation's motto is "The Grass is Greener". For the past 28 years it has been recognized as "Tree City USA". Plantation has also been recognized by the National Wildlife Federation as a "Community Wildlife Habitat" and is a designated "Sterling Tree City USA".

The city has been used as a movie location for films such as There's Something About Mary and Caddyshack. Plantation is home to several major corporations, including DHL's World Headquarters. 

Notable natives and residents include rapper Fat Joe, NFL player Jake Long, and journalist Bob Norman.
