Lauderhill City is located in Broward County. It is bordered by Lauderdale Lakes, Tamarac, Fort Lauderdale, Plantation, and Sunrise. 

The city was established by Herbert Sadkin on June 20, 1959. It was a development of off-the-shelf architectural designs, which were advertised at Macy's department store.

During its early years, the city was primarily a dairy farming community. It was also a seasonal getaway and retirement location for Jewish people until the early 1990's. Today the population consists mostly of Jamaicans, African Americans, and West Indians.

You can have your wedding at the Inverrary Country Club, which was featured on TLC's Four Weddings. The club can accommodate up to 400 guests and has its own gourmet catering service.

The West Regional Courthouse in Plantation or the Main Broward County Courthouse in Fort Lauderdale are the most convenient locations for you to obtain your marriage license.

In your free time you can enjoy one of Lauderhill's numerous parks, which feature amenities such as tennis courts, walking paths, grills and picnic pavilions, and exercise stations.
