Colleyville City is located in Tarrant County. It is situated in between Little Bear and Big Bear Creek, along the Cotton Bell Route. The city was established by Dr. Lilburn H. Colley in the early 20th century. It was incorporated on January 10, 1956.

Notable natives and residents include actress and singer Demi Lovato, model Ali Michael, and PGA golfer Greg Chalmers. Colleyville was recognized by Money Magazine in its list of "100 Best Towns in America".
