Crowley City is located in both Johnson and Tarrant Counties, Texas. The area was settled by farmers in 1848. The city was named after the master of transportation for the railroad, S. H. Crowley. Crowley was incorporated as a city on September 3, 1972.

Crowley has several parks with athletic courts, playground equipment, and walking paths. The city has special events year round including an Easter Egg Hunt, the Haunted Hayride, a Christmas Parade, and the Celebration of Freedom and Baby Contest.

Crowley's Community Center and park pavilions are available to rent. Alcohol is permitted.
