Southlake City is located in both Tarrant and Denton Counties. It is a wealthy suburb of Fort Worth, known for its excellent public school system.

Southlake is home to the S&P 500 company, Sabre Holdings. The city was named the most affluent city in the United States by Forbes.com in 2008. A year later it was recognized as the richest zip code in the nation. 

The area was first settled in the 1840's. Before its incorporation in 1956, the communities of Dove, Union Church, Whites Chapel, and Jellico were also included in Southlake. The city experienced a population boom after the completion of the Dallas/Ft. Worth International Airport in the 1970's.

Notable natives and residents include former NFL quarterback Terry Bradshaw, Texas Rangers General Manager Jon Daniels, and PGA golfer Rory Sabbatini. 

Southlake has a variety of resources to help you with your wedding planning, including wedding venues, bakeries, and wedding photographers. You can have a lakeside ceremony at Paradise Cove, or exchange vows on the grand terrace at Timarron Country Club. Elegant Cakery has a large selection of flavors and gluten free options for your wedding cake.

In your free time you can visit the Bob Jones Nature Center & Preserve. Southlake also has public artwork spread throughout the community.
