Saginaw City

Saginaw City is located in Tarrant County. It was settled as an agricultural community named "Dido" prior to the Civil War. In 1882, the city was renamed by Jarvis J. Green. "Saginaw" comes from the Ojibwe word meaning "to flow out".

Saginaw experienced a population boom after the railroad decided to build a depot in the city. Its economy prospered as grain storage and milling facilities moved near the railroad. The city is currently home to the largest grain storage facility in the world, Cargill, Inc.

Saginaw prides itself on being a small, friendly town with big city amenities. Its motto is "A City On The Right Track".
