Westland City

Westland City is located in Wayne County, about 16 miles from Detroit. The area was originally inhabited by the Potawatomi Native Americans, who used the land for hunting.

The first white settlers arrived in 1824. In the early years, Westland was part of the Bucklin Township, which also included Livonia, Garden City, Dearborn, Inkster, Wayne, Redford, and Dearborn Heights.

The city prides itself on being "film friendly" and works willingly with production companies who wish to use the area as a location.
