Vista is a city in the northern portion of San Diego County, California.  The city was incorporated in January, 1963 and became a charter city in June, 2007.  It is located 7 miles inland from the Pacific Ocean and has a very Mediterranean climate.  It's population is approximately 94,000 residents.  In 2008, Vista was listed as the 7th best place for family life in the United States.  This was based on factors such as cost of living, jobs and business opportunities, education and climate.  

Vista is 18.7 square miles in area and is home to both the courthouse and the jail for the northern portion of San Diego County.  

Today, Vista is a community that is thriving and continuing to grow with many new attractions and activities.  The Wave Waterpark and the Moonlight Amphitheatre are just a couple of the activities offered to Vista residents and visitors.  Vista's Business Parks is home to over 850 companies, with many of them world wide and relocating their different facilities to the business park.  There is also Vista Village which has revitalized the downtown area by bringing in public amenities, dining, shopping and entertainment.
