Cutler Bay is a town that is located in Miami-Dade County, Florida.  It has historically been called Cutler Ridge and has a population of approximately 40,300 residents.   The town was incorporated in 2005 and was renamed Cutler Bay in 2006.  

Cutler Bay is 4.9 square miles in size and is the home of Southland Mall which was formerly Cutler Ridge Mall.  The area was slammed by Hurricane Andrew in 1992 and hit again with serious flooding from Hurricane Katrina in 2005.  By radar estimates, Katrina dropped over 20 inches of rainfall on the area.  

The history of Cutler Bay (Ridge) began in the 1870's when Dr. William C. Cutler visited the area and fell in love.  Dr. Cutler bought 600 acres of land for $1.25 per acre because he wanted to establish a fruit and vegetable plantation.
