Palmetto Bay Village

Palmetto Bay Village is the 33rd municipality in Miami-Dade County. It annexed Cutler and East Perrine before its incorporation on September 10, 2002.

The village is family and education oriented, and focused on cultivating a beautiful atmosphere. Palmetto Bay is nicknamed the "Village of Parks", and features open spaces with walking trails, pine tree preserves, and streams. The large portion of the population is white, with a small percentage of Latinos and African Americans.

Palmetto Bay is home to the historical Thalatta Estate, which was acquired by the village in 2005 for preservation purposes. The estate overlooks Biscayne Bay, where you can view herons, marine iguanas, herons, and other wildlife. It is built in the Mediterranean-Revival style, with red clay tile roofs, stucco walls, arched openings, and wood ceiling beams.

We found resources in Palmetto Bay to help you find some essentials on your wedding checklist, such as caterers, wedding venues, and wedding photographers. You can have your reception surrounded by nature at the Thalatta Estate, or in the Palm Room at Palmetto Bay Village Center, which is perfect for larger groups.

Palmetto Bay is in close proximity to a number of attractions in Miami including museums, historical landmarks, and the Miami Zoo. Keep in mind that the summers are usually hot and humid, with occasional tropical storms.
