Menifee is a relatively new city that is located in Riverside County, California with a population of about 78,000 residents.  However, because it is a vibrant and quickly growing city, the population is anticipated to reach 100,000 by the year 2020.   Even with its large population, the city is only 46.6 square miles in area.  

While early development began in the early 1960's, the community did not develop into a master planned community until the late 1980's and early 1990's. Residents voted to incorporate on June 3, 2008. and Menifee was officially became Riverside County's 26th city on October 1, 2008.
