Rolling Hills Estates is a primarily residential city on the northern side of the Palos Verdes Peninsula. It is in Los Angeles County and was incorporated in 1957. At the time of incorporation the population was only 3,500 people, who were all dedicated to maintaining the city's rural feel and equestrian trails.

There are currently 30 neighborhood areas within the Rolling Hills Estates community that each have their own unique architecture. Even though the landscape has undergone some changes over time, the citizens are still dedicated to maintaining the rural atmosphere. 

Rolling Hills Estates has plenty of options to make your wedding planning go smoothly. You can also find a variety of delicious wedding cakes at Mayer's Bakery. The bakery makes your search for the perfect cake easier by letting you make an appointment to do a free tasting. 

In your free time you can enjoy the six parks in Rolling Hills Estates. The city has approximately 25 miles of trails for horseback riding and 10 miles of bicycle paths. You can visit Peter Weber Equestrian Center and go on a guided trail ride. Another great choice for recreation is Chandler Preserve, which has 27 acres reserved for hiking and riding.
