Crestwood Village is located in Cook County, 7 miles south of downtown Chicago. It is 3.1 square miles. The area was originally part of the marshland of Saganashkee Swamp, which was eventually drained for farm land. Crestwood was incorporated in 1928.
The population of Crestwood is primarily from German descent, but there are also Polish, Italian, Slovak, and English immigrants. Its most significant time of growth was in the 1960's and 1970's.

You can obtain a marriage license at any one of the six Cook County Clerk's offices. Make sure you bring valid identification and that your wedding is no more than 60 days from the issuing of the license.
Crestwood is close to all major Chicago attractions, parks, and museums. If you want to stay local you can relax at Caesar Park, go shopping at Rivercrest Shopping Center, or visit the Crestwood Village Hall.
