Glenview Village is located in Cook County. It is only 18 miles from downtown Chicago and is approximately 13.95 square miles. One of the oldest neighborhoods in Glenview is called "the park", which was originally founded to be the home of a religious society. Through the late 1800's, members of New Church built their homes in a circle around the common park.
Today the religious community in Glenview is more diverse and consists of Catholics, Lutherans, Jews, Muslims, Methodists, Episcopalians, and Hindus.
