Cicero Town is located in Cook County. It was named for the town of Cicero, New York, which was named after Roman orator Mark Tullius Cicero. It was incorporated in 1869. The city attracted criminals looking to avoid law enforcement, due to its position at the edge of Chicago. Gangster Al Capone made Cicero his headquarters in the 1920's.

Cicero was once a Czech and Bohemian town, but a large Mexican and Central American population moved into the area in the 1980's and 1990's. Many of the European restaurants and shops that once filled the city have been replaced by Spanish businesses.
Cicero has some unique vendors that will help you find everything on your wedding checklist including wedding cakes, photographers, and caterers. You can have your reception at Alessandro's Banquets and Catering and customize the wedding menu to fit your tastes and budget. The banquet hall features marble dance floors, crystal chandeliers, and can host up to 400 guests.
Klas is another excellent venue that features four banquet halls. It is available for weddings only during the months of July and August. Even if you do not have your reception here, make sure you take the time to visit this historic Czech landmark. It has a charming outdoor garden and a 14th century wine and tap room that is filled with relics from World War I and II.
